TESTIMONIALS

“I am writing to take the opportunity to express my support for Pinnacle MultiCare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

In the last 2 years, this facility has embarked on an aggressive program with goals to enhance patient safety, improve satisfaction and control costs of care for patients requiring post-acute care including readmission reduction. Both Pinnacle and our Hospital are committed to continuous quality improvement and look forward to the future as setting examples in the management and care of complex medical/surgical patients including those requiring complex pulmonary management including dialysis care. We are very aware of various ratings available to the public and insurers including the limitations of so-called Star ratings. Our outcome measurements address elements of care which we consider more important than Star ratings. We receive feedback from patients and families. We monitor lengths of stay both at our hospital and at this facility. We monitor re-admission rates.

Our dedicated case managers at are obliged to give patients requiring transfer for post-acute care a list of almost one hundred facilities in the Bronx-Queens and Westchester area however, we list and endorse Pinnacle as one of our ‘preferred’ facilities. Any disruption related to insurance preferences for facilities will disrupt the relationship which serves these patients well. We therefore request that Healthfirst bring Pinnacle into the network which will benefit its members and easy our discharge process.”

“I have been really happy with my therapy! They are helping me to walk and go back home!” – Brenda

Brenda was admitted due to heart issues. She received extensive rehabilitation for weakness, lymphedema, and severe knee pain due to arthritis. Her therapy included electrical stimulation to reduce knee pain which allowed for progression to therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, and functional activities. She will soon go home.
